What is Earth Day?

What is Earth Day? That is a question not a lot of people are asking… sadly. But I will still tell you. Earth Day is a holiday that honors the planet we live on and call home. This holiday occurs on April 22. Why April 22? because April 22 is between college spring breaks so college students can have maximum participation.

How do you celebrate Earth Day?

“You told me a lot about Earth Day, and I want to participate but I don’t know what to do.” Do not worry little bean, I shall enlighten you. There are many ways to participate. One is you can pick up trash; it does not matter how much it is if you pick up at least 2 pieces of trash a day. Another way to participate is just by spreading the news. For example, if a friend drops a piece of trash let them know it is not cool to litter.

Why do we celebrate Earth Day?

We celebrate Earth Day to bring attention and recognition to critical care to the environment and delicate ecosystem of planet earth. Not only does it help the earth, but it also helps our mind in getting into the habit of throwing our trash away. Don’t you feel wonderful knowing you helped the earth?
