Artist Spotlight: Caden Dam

Caden Dam is a talented first grader in Mr. O’Connor’s class, who loves making art for his friends and his classmates. He usually makes dragons, but also makes “cute artwork.” he says.

•  What is something that you worked on that you are proud of?

The one he was proud of the most was a dragon that he made for his classroom.

•  How many artworks have you worked on?

Eleven.

•  Tell me about your work.

He made a flying dragon cooking donut with its breathing fire!

• Why do you like that dragon so much?

Because he added his favorite color, blue.

•  What art are u currently working on?

Nothing but he says, “Tomorrow I will buy a big paper, draw what the class want.”

•  How long did u make art for?

“I started making art about a year ago.”

• «Who inspired you to make art?

“Mr. Honor and by watching video.”

•  What do you usually use to make art?

“Markers and paper to sketch it.”

• What type of art do you make?

“I make a lot of dragons and sometimes ‘cute’ artwork”
