“What is teacher appreciation week?”
Teacher appreciation week is a week where you show your appreciation for teachers as it says in the title. This week was created on March 7, 1984, created by Eleanor Roosevelt because one day she thought “There needs to be a day when teachers are regularly recognized for their efforts.” So, she convinced Congress to set aside a day to honor teachers, and in 1984, the National Parent Teacher Association designated a whole week to celebrate their contributions.
“How do you celebrate teacher appreciation week?”
“How is this week celebrated?” That’s a great question. One way this week is celebrated is by writing notes, making gifts, or just buying gifts for a teacher. Or you can just give thanks to the wonderful community of people that try their best to give you an education.
